Animal Spirit Guide – Horse power and freedom
Many years ago I created a hand drum with a Native American Shaman – Medicine Crow from the Blackfoot Hill tribe.
Creating the drum was a real test in strength and stamina but I pushed through and the drum finally came into being. I utilized this healing tool within my Tipi during ceremonies and mediations, it has been a blessing in my life and always thought I would paint the skin with some wonderful abstract image.
During the Covid19 lockdowns this image of a wild horse came to me in a dream. The horse gave to man freedom, the ability to roam vast distances and explore our word. Although many breeds have been tamed there are still wild herds that roam the land which is important. As I painted the drum, I was reminded as we all are that freedom is not to be taken for granted, we have to treasure our freedom.
I placed my drum out in full view in my home and took time to connect to the feelings of freedom, the movement of the body and wind in my hair. I hope that you will find what freedom means for you when you purchase this print.
Blessings
