One of the most popular stones, coveted for its range in colour from rich deep purples to the light violet shades of purple. This stone is often used in ceremonial objects, jewellery in many religious settings.

However, it is widely used in fashion jewellery and as meditation tools. Seen as an excellent stone to develop or promote deeper psychic skills and connections it is seen as both a receptor and transmitter of energy between the seen and unseen worlds.

As a child I was fascinated with a lovely piece of Amethyst my grandfather had sitting on his television.  A lovely piece which is a combination of granite, clear quartz, and Amethyst points. This crystal was my first introduction to the healing properties of crystals, and I was deeply honoured when he gave me the stone as a leaving gift as I stepped out into the adult world. Little did I know that this wonderful gift was to support me and help alleviate any fears or anxiety about those first steps into adult hood.
